Animal Print Seems To Be A Trend Every Season

Animal prints seem to have been a basic constant over the last few seasons in womens fashion. They keep showing up on runway shows and eventually in the stores every season. Jenna Lyons of J Crew once said: “As far as I’m concerned, leopard is a neutral”.

Fall 2014 is not any different and everywhere you turn you see some kind of animal print item, from jackets to bags and shoes, they are everywhere with a designers new twist. I wanted to share with you some of my favorite animal print pieces for fall 2014 and also give you a couple of tips in how to buy and wear animal print jackets and coats for your wardrobe.

Here are my tips in how to wear them:

Stick to one animal print piece in your outfit. If you are wearing a jacket or coat in an animal print, do not add an animal print bag or shoes to the same outfit.
Stick to wearing animal prints with neutral colors like black, brown, camel or grey and let the print be the focus of your outfit.
You can also mix animal prints with other prints like floral or checks or stripes, but make sure the sizes for each pattern is different in scale. For example a big leopard print coat will work well with a small floral print top and a solid bottom.
You can try colorful combos, but I would wear those with neutrals in the bottom and not a bright color bottom.
