Classic Nautical Look With A Twist - Just Style LA

One of the most popular looks for spring and summer that has become a classic, is the nautical look. Nautical has a broad definition but in fashion it mainly refers to looks that are inspired by sailors and the yacht / boating lifestyle which are mainly in a navy and white color combination.

Today I am channeling this kind of a nautical look by combining our Navy lightweight Shirt Jacket combine with a new Navy Ivory Stripe Top.

I first debuted the Navy Shirt Jacket or Shacket as I like to call it, here. The fabric is soft and lightweight, and the body is loose. It has a collar and a cascading soft lapel. The sleeves are long; however, there is a tab you can use to fold them up and wear them as ¾ length. It also has two welt pockets in the front.

To get the full-on nautical look I am wearing this navy jacket with our new Navy Ivory Stripe Scoop Neck Short Sleeve Top. This top is made out of rayon spandex and has a nice soft and buttery hand. It has a scoop neck which is a very flattering neckline.

The body is semi shaped with the sides slightly shorter than front and back. So the twist to this nautical look comes from the fun snakeskin scarf that I have added to the outfit. This scarf has such fun, bright colors that take the whole look to another level.

I have finished off the look with our Gold Tone Hoop Earring and my gold sandals. Gold metal hardware are a prominent part of nautical looks that go along with the navy and white color combo and compliment them so well.
