All Black With A Pop Of Color
I am sure all of us own a few black items in our closets. Some of us may wear more black items on daily basis than others, but there is no doubt we all wear something black from time to time.
Wearing head to toe black though is a little bit more difficult for a lot of women especially as we get older. All black can be a bit harsh next to any skin tone, so I always add a some color to my all-black looks. When I say color, that can be a neutral like white or even big bold jewelry pieces in gold or silver, anything that will break the all-black look and make it a little softer.
Today I am showing you a predominately black look that consists of our Black Shawl Collar Open Front Blazer, my black skinny cropped jeans, black mules and a black cross body bag.
In order to throw in some color to this look today, I have styled it with our Watermelon Stand Collar Short Sleeve Blouse which immediately makes the look happier with this pop of red. Red is a great color going into this spring, in fact Pantone spring 2019 colors includes a pretty shade of red called “Flame Scarlet”.
This Watermelon top is pretty close to this color except it is a little pinker in its shade of red. This shade of pinkish red is really pretty and flattering to all skin tones. The fabric is a soft silky fabric and the body is loose and easy. This top also comes in a pretty Mint color and you can see that color way here.
As you can see below in the photos, just the pop of color from the watermelon top already makes this all-black look come alive. To take it up another notch I have also added our new Black White Geometric Floral Print Scarf Shawl with Tassels. This scarf which is made out of a soft fabric, is printed in a black and white geometric pattern, but the best part is there are red and yellow flowers printed on top of the geometric pattern. It is also finished with fun black and yellow tassels at each ends of the scarf.
