Black and Ivory With A Touch Of Orange
In my last blog post I debuted our new Sage Cream Leopard Print Oversized Shirt and today I am showing you the same shirt in an ivory/black color combo.
The base color of the this silky fabric is ivory and it is then printed on top with a black leopard print pattern. The body is a bit oversized so not only can you wear it as a shirt, like I have done today, you can also wear it as a lightweight shirt jacket going into spring and summer. It has all the typical characteristics of a shirt with a collar, small buttons in the front, long sleeves with a cuff and buttons and one chest pocket.
For today’s look I have paired this shirt with two different outer wears for different looks. The first one is our classic Black Shawl Collar Open Front Blazer.
I have styled this blazer a few other times and we keep re-stocking them since it is such a great classic black blazer, but we are down to the last few pieces and will not be restocking them again. So if you like it, grab it now. Inspired by a tuxedo jacket, It has a semi loose body that is fully lined. It has a long thin shawl collar and two pockets with a flap.
For a second outer wear option, I am wearing our Black Cape Vest which is another staple from our shop that we keep re-stocking. As you know we have these in quite a few colors, but the black is such a classic that works for both fall and spring. The fabric is a soft knit, and you can wear it as more of a “cape look” with the cape part spread over your shoulders, or “vest look” where you pull in the cape part. I have shown you both looks below.
The scarf I am wearing today is where I am introducing a pop of color which happens to be orange. There is also a bit of metallic gold in this pretty scarf. It is made of a lightweight fabric that is printed in an abstract print and the color combo is Gray/Black/Orange/Gold/White. We had this scarf last year and sold out of it quickly, so I decided to bring them back.
As for the necklace, it is a new piece which looks great over the leopard shirt; however it gets a little lost in the photos. That is why I included a photo of it on a dress form so you can see the beautiful details. It is made of a gold chain that leads to a charcoal stone and gold circular metal pendant.
