How To Dress Up a Jean And T-shirt Look
One of my go-to looks on a daily basis are jeans and t-shirts. In order to make this simple look more interesting and stylish, I always like to add a third or more pieces to it.
There are many pieces you can add to a simple jeans and t-shirt look to make it more exciting. Here are some examples:
- Adding a jacket, blazer, or cardigan
- Adding a sweater
- Adding scarves
- Adding jewelry and accessories
- Great heels/bag
These are just some example and for today’s look I have chosen the sweater, scarf and jewelry category to make my jeans and t-shirt more stylish.
I’ll start with my base outfit which is my own jeans and our Ivory Round Neck Short Sleeve Top with Pocket. This is a new addition to our rayon modal jersey tops and a great all-around t-shirt top that you can wear on its own or as a layered piece.
For a sweater I am wearing our Lavender Tape Yarn Three Quarter Sleeve Sweater which I first debuted for you HERE. This sweater is knitted in a tape yarn making it novel and stylish. The color is a very pretty shade of lavender making it perfect for spring and summer.
The body is loose and slightly boxy with three quarter length sleeves. You can wear it over t-shirts, tank tops, camisoles or on their own. I am wearing it over our Ivory top, and I have left the top out so that it shows a little bit under the sweater. However, you can tuck in the top for a cleaner look. This sweater is also available in a jute color, and you see that piece HERE.
The scarf I am wearing with this look, our Blue Purple Green Mosaic Multi Pattern Print Scarf, is the perfect scarf to go with this sweater. It picks up on the beautiful purple shades and blends nicely together.
I finished off the look with our Brown Tan Marbleized Clover Necklace with Gold Chain Tassel.
