How To Wear A Boucle Tweed Jacket For Spring
Most women think boucle and tweed jackets are only appropriate for fall. Sometimes that is true, however it all depends on the weight, fabric content and the style of the jacket. There are lots of boucle and tweed fabrics that are lighter in weight and construction, so they work perfectly well for spring.
Our classic Sophie Boucle Blazer is one these type of jackets. It is made with an Italian made black and ivory tweed/boucle fabric. The body is a traditional one button blazer with a collar, lapel and two patch pockets. There is also a self-fabric fringe detail all around the collar and lapel, pockets, and bottom of the sleeves.
The fact that the sleeves are a three-quarter length makes it a perfect piece for spring. The front has one large fabric covered button and the body is fully lined with a black lining.
The other factor to keep in mind when you are thinking about wearing a boucle or tweed jacket for spring is to know how to style it. For example, for today’s look I decided to wear it with my white jeans and vibrant purple top, both of which make the whole look perfect for spring. The top is a new addition to our spring tops. The color is a very pretty shade of purple in a soft rayon spandex fabric. The silhouette is like a short sleeve T-shirt with one chest pocket.
I have also added a new light weight sheer scarf which has a white background and is printed on top with beautiful floral print in purple and raspberry. It is finished off with cute pink tassels at each end.
To go along with the classic look of the boucle/tweed jacket, I am wearing our Double Layer Gold Chain and Pearl Necklace. I have Finished off the look with my black sandals which also makes this look perfect for spring.
