My Favorite looks from the London Fashion Week Spring 2015
As soon as the New York fashion week shows are over, JFK airport is packed with fashion magazine editors, buyers, models, bloggers, and celebrities rushing to get to London for the next round of Fashion Weeks.
British designers are usually less conservative on their runways and London usually has cool, unexpected and edgy looks. Spring 2015 was no different and there were all kinds of creative looks, some of which worked and some that didn’t in my opinion. Normally I look forward to the Burberry show, since Christopher Bailey has done such a tremendous job of reinventing that brand and has made some beautiful women’s coats and jackets, not to mention their signature trench coats season after season. Even though I have included a couple of looks from Burberry in my presentation, I was a little disappointed in his collection for spring 2015. Hey you can’t always be great; I know that as a designer. I think that he still sets the tone for a lot of the trends for the coming spring 2015 season.
Speaking of which here are the key trends I picked up on from London fashion week spring 2015:
1. Denim
2. Metallic and sparkle
3. Stripes
4. Sheer and Tulle
5. Floral prints and appliqués
6. Fringe
7. Big bow belts and wraps
8. Mesh
9. Pastels
10. All kinds of vests
11. Holographic shine
Below you can see some of my favorite looks from London fashion week spring 2015. I would love to know which ones are your favorites.
