Navy Ivory And Red A Great Summer Combo

With Fourth of July right around the corner and next Tuesday being the first day of summer, I thought this would be a good time to do a navy, ivory and red look. Today's look is a continuation of the idea of wearing shirts as light weight jackets, which I first talked about in last Tuesday's blog post.

The main piece I am showcasing today in all my looks, is our new ivory short sleeve shirt with two pockets. I have shown you four different ways you can wear this great shirt below.

First a little bit about the shirt: It is made of a soft rayon/linen fabric that has a slight texture to it. The body is oversized and loose with two chest pockets. It has a traditional collar and stand with a hidden placket in the front with small buttons inside. The sleeves are short with a turn back cuff.

For the first look I am wearing it over our navy ivory strip scoop neck short sleeve top. It is made from rayon spandex and has a nice soft and buttery hand. It has a scoop neck which is a very flattering neckline shape. The body is semi shaped with the sides slightly shorter than front and back. We also have this top in a sage/ivory color combo and you can see that piece here.

For the second look I am wearing the same shirt over our ivory rayon modal knit tank top for a more monochromatic look. This tank top is a staple piece for us in our collection of rayon modal tops. It is a great piece that we keep re-stocking.

The third way is to wear the shirt on its own, buttoning it up and leaving it out as a boxy shirt. And the last way is to tuck in the front of the shirt to show some shape. As you can see there are many ways you can wear this great shirt.

For this patriotic color combo, I love adding some gold accents, so I am wearing our matte gold chain link belt with round pendant and new gold tone multi disk dangle drop earrings. We only have 2 pieces left in the belt. I have finished off the look with my red sandals and bag.
