Our Brand New Boucle Knit Cardigan Jacket

Today I am debuting a brand-new and super fun Bouclé Knit Cardigan Jacket. This is a great piece because it has the look of a classic Chanel inspired bouclé jacket, but it is really a knit cardigan. Since the fabric is a knit, it has stretch and ease, making it super comfortable, warm and easy to wear. So basically it is a great mix of a cardigan and jacket so that’s why I am calling it a “cardigan jacket”.

The yarn colors are black, blue and white knitted in a bouclé plaid pattern. The body is semi shaped with long sleeves and two functional pockets with flaps. It has a cute self-yarn fringe detail in the front, bottom of the sleeves and around the pocket flap. There is one hook and eye closure on the top neckline in case you want to wear it that way, but for the most part I think it looks great left open.

Since it is a knit cardigan, there is no lining or shoulder pads in this piece. It is one of those items that you can dress up or wear more casually with jeans like I have done for today’s look.

I have styled it with our Ivory Mock Neck Long Sleeve Top which I have styled for you before. It is one of our rayon modal jersey tops that is a great layering piece and works with a lot of outerwear pieces.

I also added our Navy-Blue Heart Scarf Shawl which works really nicely with the bouclé cardigan, as it picks up the blue shades in there. This is a fun scarf and since the main pattern is hearts, it is perfect to wear for our upcoming Valentine’s Day. This would make a great Valentine’s Day gift for a friend or family member, but don’t delay as we only have a few left.

To finish off the look today I added our Silver Chain Necklace with Silver and Gunmetal Pendant. Even though the bouclé cardigan will work just as well with gold jewelry, I really like it paired with this silver necklace.

I chose to wear the pieces with my skinny blue jeans, however keep in mind that this cardigan will also look great with black bottoms or even with white jeans.
