Our Giselle Boucle Jacket Styled Casually

Most of the time boucle/tweed jackets have the reputation of being a dressy item, hence only good for special occasions. However, I personally don’t think this is true, because so much of it depends on how you style them.

Our Giselle Boucle Jacket with Removable Faux Fur Collar is one such jacket. I have styled this unique jacket a few other times but today I wanted to show you how easy it is to wear it casually. One way you can do this is by wearing it with a casual top and flat chunky booties, like I have done for today's look.

The fabric is a classic Italian made boucle fabric that will never go out of style and the silhouette is loose and easy to wear. What is unique and different about this jacket is its cap short sleeves and removable black faux fur collar.

The faux fur collar is attached with elastic loops and small buttons and it is easily removable. In fact, I have styled the jacket with and without the collar for you so you can see how good it looks both ways. I have even shown one look where I am wearing it snapped up in the front, which almost gives it a sweater/vest look.

The jacket also has two welt pockets in the front that are finished in a faux leather and really nice quality dark chrome zippers, and it is all finished with a black lining inside. For today’s look I am wearing it with a new heather gray top from our shop. This is a new addition to our rayon jersey tops. The fabric is super soft and stretchy. The body is semi loose, with the bottom being looser than the top. It has a crew neck and long sleeves.
