Our Purple Black Houndstooth And Solid Gray Reversible Poncho

Back in October, I introduced our houndstooth and plaid ponchos in two color ways and they were both bestsellers. In fact whenever we have offered any type of reversible shawl or poncho they have been a favorite purchase for so many of you. So when I came across this beautiful purple black houndstooth and Solid Gray reversible poncho, I knew it would be a great addition to our store.

Here are some of the reasons I love this poncho:

  • It is slightly bigger than the other ones we have had, making it especially warm and cozy for fall/winter.
  • I love that it is a pattern (houndstooth plaid) on one side but solid on the other side so you get two completely different looks.
  • Beautiful color combo of purple/black/gray
  • It has a fun design detail with its self yarn fringe around the edges.

I wanted to do a more casual weekend type look with this piece so I have worn it with my black knit jean pants, gray sweater and low heel black booties. To accessorize, I have done it with two different looks for you. The first one I have used our multi strand bead and chain necklace hanging from gray rope, which works perfectly with this piece, as it has gray and some puprle iridescent beads.

For the second accessory choice, I wanted to show you how you can wear a snood or scarf with a poncho and make it work. Most of us think ponchos are like a big shawl and we do not need another scarf or snood with it and sometimes that is true. But you most definitely can wear one as an accessory especially for those of you who live in very cold climates. So here I have added our Plum and Black abstract print snood which is a really fun piece and the colors work really well with the poncho.
