Preview Day At The Petersen Automotive Museum

I am not sure if I have ever mentioned the fact that my husband works in the Automotive industry. He has been with the same company for the last 25 years and he loves what he does. He is a big car enthusiast and he even used to race cars, but thank God he doesn’t do that anymore or I would have a lot more gray hairs. Last Sunday, his boss invited us to attend the preview day event with him and his family for the reopening of the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. The museum has been going through a 90-million-dollar renovation which has taken 14 months to complete. The Petersen is located on the “Museum Row” on the Miracle Mile that already includes the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The Page Museum, The La Brea Tar Pits and the future Museum of Motion Picture Academy.

We spent the day walking through the different levels of the museum and seeing and admiring amazing cars, some of which were worth over $100 million dollars. There were a few cars from famous movies, like the Aston Martin from the latest James Bond “Spectre” movie, which is my dream car and I couldn’t help but take a picture in front of it. There was food and drinks outside on the patio and my husband’s favorite DJ, Jason Bentley from KCRW was playing great music. We had a fabulous time and afterwards we walked over to the LACMA to have a drink and take some pictures by the famous lamp posts outside which is an LA attraction for lots of bloggers and people in general where they take pictures. As far as my outfit, I chose to wear our Milano blazer with my black skinny jeans, white top, Gucci mules and red Prada bag. As far as accessories I added our pearl and gold chain and tassel necklace and one of my favorite vintage brooches that has some red stones to compliment my red bag.
