Spring 2019 Color Trend Alert Yellow
Usually in order to say a color is “trending”, only a few designers have to show it on their runway shows. But for spring 2019, almost everyone showed yellow in some way or another on their runways shows. That’s not counting all the color forecasting services that had yellow as one of their top colors including Pantone with their Aspen Gold. So it is safe to say yellow is a hot color for this spring.
It doesn’t matter how you incorporate it into your wardrobe, as long as you have a touch of yellow included in your look. It could be as simple as a scarf, a jewelry piece or a full-on outfit. Also, I think yellow is such a happy color for spring and summer and I personally love it.
That is why I am super excited to include a yellow piece in my look for today’s blog post. But before I talk about that piece, let me start off with a brand-new, fun and trendy blazer we have just added to our shop. Our new Black & Ivory Stripe Open Front Blazer is a statement piece because of its bold stripes. It is a classic blazer with a twist, or should I say a few twists. The body is semi loose and easy to wear with three quarter sleeves that are scrunched up to look like you have pulled them up. This detail along with the bold stripes give this blazer a trendy and hip edge.
Since this blazer is a classic black and ivory, I wanted to style it with a pop color, so I decided to do it with yellow since it’s the hottest pop color for spring and summer.
I wore the jacket with our new Golden V Neck Flounce Sleeve Blouse which is a very pretty shade of yellow so I am calling it “golden”. We have this top in two other colors in the store, terracotta and white, which I have styled for you before and both have sold really well. It is a pretty, soft blouse that looks great as a layering piece or on its own.
As for accessories, I added our Ivory and Black Polka Dot Square Scarf, which I think looks great with the stripe blazer. Stripes and polka dots are two patterns that mix really well together. That is why I think this blazer and the scarf are made for each other.
I also added a great necklace from our shop, our Matte Gold Chain Necklace with Matte Gold and Silver Pendant. The matte gold color looks beautiful with the golden color of the blouse.
For a different look, I decided to wear these pieces with my flared black trouser. However I think they would look just as good with skinny or regular jeans and pants, or even a skirt or shorts for summer.
