Spring Summer Trend Alert Cold Shoulder Tops
One of the biggest trends for this spring summer season are “cold shoulder tops”. I am sure you have seen them in stores, magazines and some bloggers who have been styling them on their blogs.
Today I want to introduce you to our brand new Tangerine Cold Shoulder top. This is our first cold shoulder style that covers this trend and I am hoping to have a few more in the future, as I think they are a perfect style for spring and summer. What I love about ours is that you can actually wear it two different ways as you will see in my photos below.
- The Cold Shoulder Look – In the first few photos you will see I am wearing the top as its meant to be, the cold shoulder way. The top has adjustable straps and an armhole and sleeves where you put your arm through both. The sleeve is shorter on the outside than the inside and it creates a beautiful cascading effect.
- The Strap Top Look – In the last few photos you can see how I have only put my arm through the straps, but I have left the sleeves hanging on the side, which gives the whole top a cascading side look where you don’t really see the sleeve, it just hangs on the sides and looks like it is part of the top.
The other detail that I love about this top is the beautiful tangerine color which is just perfect for spring/summer. Orange and yellow are both trending this season. The top has a string tie in the front with self tassels at each end. You can either leave it tied like I have or leave it open. If you do leave the ties open, you would need to wear a tube top or camisole underneath. The sides on the top are slightly longer than the front and back. I chose to tuck in the front and leave the back out for this look. You can see more photos of the top in our online store where I have left the top out in the front as well.
I added one of our brand new necklaces which is a Matt gold tone necklace with chain fringe and earring set. I love the matte gold color mixed with the tangerine top and I think they look great together and to finish off my look today, I paired the top with my jeans, gladiator sandals and Prada bag. I love this color combo, but I know this top will look beautiful with so many other colored bottoms, from white to tan, brown, gray, navy or black. It can also work with a print bottom like a black and white stripe or floral piece.
