The Brooklyn Contemporary Womens Jacket In Hounds Tooth
It’s safe to say that one of my favorite architectural buildings in Los Angeles is the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Designed by Frank Gehry, it is designed to be one of the most acoustically sophisticated concert halls in the world. What I love most about this building is the incredibly architectural design. It has such dramatic shapes and lines and combined with the stainless steel exterior skin, it make this building a unique feast for the eyes. As a designer I always look for inspiration all around me, from architecture, beautiful buildings, people watching and all the elements of nature, it all plays a part in process of design.
As I am about to start work on some new jacket designs for my jacket society line, I thought it would be a good idea to have a day out in downtown Los Angeles to visit my favorite building and walk around. This was the perfect opportunity to wear the new Brooklyn Contemporary Women's Jacket In Hounds Tooth from the Jacket Society fall line and take a few photos. The Brooklyn jacket is basically the same body as my Chelsea jacket but a different color combination. It is a beautiful charcoal and black hounds tooth fabric trimmed with rich black velvet for the collar and welt pockets. This is another classic jacket that you can wear with any bottom in black or with jeans. Here I am wearing it with my faux leather leggings to give a bit more of an edgy look. Hey it works with the architecture of the building right? I also like wearing my cream shirt underneath to lighten up the whole outfit. I like leaving the back part of the shirt out to give the outfit a more casual and relaxed look. This outfit would also look great with any bright color top underneath to brighten it up.
