Brooches Are Having A Fashion Comeback
Brooches are officially back—and they’re more stylish than ever! Once seen as a vintage accessory reserved for special occasions, today’s brooches are being reimagined as modern statement pieces that add instant personality to any outfit.
From pinning one onto a blazer lapel or cozy knit, to styling it on scarves, hats, or even handbags, brooches offer a fresh way to elevate everyday looks. Whether you choose a classic gold design, a bold abstract shape, or a touch of sparkle, this timeless accessory proves that small details can make a big fashion impact.
With that in mind, I am introducing our first brooch we have just added to our shop. It is a gold tone baroque cross brooch with black and pearl stones, making it chic yet classic at the same time.
I put today’s looks together with this brooch in mind and you will notice that I have included it in every look. I started out with our rust chenille cardigan with pockets which is a great piece you can wear now and take into early spring. It is made of a very soft chenille yarn. The body is semi loose but not oversized. It has two pockets and all the traditional ribbing finishes in the bottom and the sleeves.
For a scarf, I have added our rust Ivory black paisley arabesque print silky neck scarf which blends nicely with the chenille cardigan. The first looks all have the cardigan styled with the neck scarf worn in different ways and I have added the brooch as the main jewelry piece to each look. For the first few looks I am wearing the pin on the cardigan but the last look I have added the brooch to the scarf. There are so many ways you can play around with the scarf and pin combo, so these are just a few examples.
I personally love combining brooches with necklaces soI have also done the same look with a necklace and brooch combination. Our black bead and gold chain link necklace and earring set works perfect as a pair with this chic brooch.
