Date Night Look Wearing Our Cold Shoulder Tops
A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I were going out for dinner and I had decided to wear my skinny jeans with our Licorice cold shoulder top and black wedge sandals. As we were leaving I felt it was a little cooler than I thought so I decided to add a snood and it made such a difference. I shared a photo of my look on our Instagram and got a lot of compliments for the look, so I decided to do a style feature about it as well. I have to say I personally love this look of combining a cold shoulder top and a snood or scarf especially for a date night. You still get the sexy look from wearing the cold shoulder top but the snood or scarf keeps you warmer and it’s a stylish accessory at the same time. Of course you can wear a jacket or a coat as well and that is what I will do as it gets colder.
This is the first time we are offering a snood in our scarf selection, so in case you don’t know what a snood is, it is basically a tubular scarf like a large cowl. The two ends are sewn together and you wear it by doubling it up around your neck. It is different from an infinity scarf in that it sits higher on the neck and can sometimes act as a hood as well, thus the name snood. Most soft scarves can be turned into a snood by wrapping it around your neck twice and tying the ends together. Move the tie to the back of the neck and push it under so it is not visible. Now your scarf has turned into a snood.
For my first look today, which was the look I wore for our date night a few weeks ago, I am wearing our Licorice cold shoulder top, skinny jeans, and our brand new Plum and Black Abstract Print Snood. This time I changed from my sandals for booties as it is getting cooler now. As for the second look I just changed the top to our Chianti cold shoulder top and added our Navy Blue Voile Abstract print scarf. With this look, I have shown you how you can wear the scarf as a scarf or shawl and then by tying the two ends together and wrapping it around your neck twice you can turn it into a snood as well. I have also shown the two tops either tucked in or left out so you can see how good they look both ways.
As for jewelry, I decided to keep it simple by wearing our Gold plated double circle drop earring with black stone which works with both outfits since I am wearing black booties, bag and belt.
