How To Wear A Blazer Casually - Just Style LA

I have noticed that a lot of women think of blazers as something to wear to the office or a dressy occasion only. This doesn’t have to be the case as blazers can really take an outfit to the next level. Personally, I look at them as any other cover up like a cardigan that you can either wear casually or dress it up. Maybe it is because I like blazers so much and I tend to wear them all the time. Some days I will wear one with jeans and sneakers and other days I will dress one up with a pant or skirt and heels. It all depends on how you wear it to make it appropriate for different occasions.

Today I am showing you a casual look I styled with our Blaire Houndstooth Blazer. This blazer is a great piece that you can dress up or wear casually. I wore it with my side-stripe pants which I bought from Zara a few months ago. They are black with a red and ivory stripe on the side. As you know side-stripe pants have been trending for a while and they are still going on strong. I wore the two pieces with my own light weight ivory sweater. As for my shoes, I wore my red Gucci slipper mules (Christmas gift), as a pop of color. The same outfit would work with sneakers, boots or even heels, and each shoe will give it a different look. That is how much shoes and accessories can change an outfit. The bag I chose also contributed to the casual look. I chose a bigger tote bag which has a more casual look over a clutch or smaller shoulder bag.

We have two brand new plaid shawl/wraps that we have just added to our shop so I wanted to add one of the to my outfit. I chose the red/black one as it works perfectly with my look. I like how the plaid pattern works with the houndstooth pattern of the blazer. This color way would also work with the blazer.

Last but not least I added our fun “Believe” Necklace to my outfit as a slogan for starting 2018. “Believe in yourself and anything is possible”.
