Stepping Out In Spring Wearing Beautiful Neutrals

As you all know I love wearing neutral looks and I have done several style features combining neutrals in the past. Wearing neutrals is a great option when you have no idea what to wear or how to combine colors. They are what I call a sure-bet color combo. So, when in doubt, stick to a neutral color palette.

One of the best parts about wearing neutrals is that you can mix different patterns and make it work without it looking busy. That is what I have done for today’s look by combining a stripe shirt with a fun conversational print neck scarf, both in neutral color combos.

Before getting into those two pieces which are both new, I will start with the vest I am wearing which is our best-selling taupe lightweight open front cardigan vest. This vest is knitted in a nice soft taupe yarn and has ribbed detailing in the front and around the arms. It has two front pockets that are also finished with a ribbing detail. The front is open with no closure and the bottom of the sides have two slits. If you want to cover the “vest trend” but you are hesitating on some of the woven ones, this is a great alternative as it is casual and easy to wear. We have this vest in three other colors as well:  Black , Navy and Gray.

The shirt I am wearing with the vest is a new item and a great piece. It is made of a 100% cotton double gauze stripe fabric. The stripe combo is cream/taupe making it very versatile to wear with different pieces. It has all the characteristics of a shirt like a collar, small buttons in the front, one chest pocket and fold up tabs on the sleeves.

The neck scarf I am wearing is where the second pattern comes in to mix with the stripe shirt. The pattern on this scarf is a fun luggage conversational print. I have shown you the same neck scarf in two other colors already. You can see those two colors HERE and HERE 

For jewelry I am wearing our taupe iridescent bead necklace with marbleized pendant. The color of this necklace works perfectly with all the other items. I chose to wear all these pieces with my own cream pants to keep the neutral theme. However, you can wear this same look with darker bottoms as well.
