A Bit Of Color To Brighten Up Your Day - Just Style LA

How was everyone’s stay-at-home Easter?

We started our Easter Sunday watching Andrea Bocelli: Music For Hope – Live From The Duomo Cathedral in Milan which was beautiful and also eerie at the same time – Amazing Grace at the end brought a tear to our eyes.

Normally on Easter we either have brunch or dinner with immediate family and since we obviously could not do that this year, my husband and I made french crepes for brunch with a side of fresh fruit and a couple of mimosas, which was very nice.

Unfortunately, it was raining so we could not sit outside during the day, but I did manage to get some roses from our garden on Saturday so that brightened up the table.

I also got some one on one face time with my son, who is now working from home and studying an online class he is taking towards his masters. So he is super busy studying with finals fast approaching.

OK, today I am sharing a casual outfit with a bit of color that can brighten anybody’s day, and I think you will agree we all need a little bit of that right now.

But before I discuss the outfit, I want to apologize for my hair and the dark roots that are growing making my hair look terrible. For years I have always gone to my hairdresser to color and highlight my hair. The main reason being is the highlighting part, which is not something I can do at home and on my own.

Since none of us can currently go to our hairdressers, it is obviously a bit of a problem, even though I can do the color, I can’t do the highlights. However, I realize I have to touch up my roots on my own, so I have talked to my hairdresser and she has told me what to purchase and now I am waiting for the color to arrive, so bear with me.

The last time I colored my roots myself was when I was pregnant with my son and I was not coloring my hair but ended up doing a touch up towards the end of the pregnancy because we had to go to a wedding. So if you have any tips, I am all ears!

For the look today, I have paired our Multi Color Yarn Open Weave Cardigan with our Papaya Stand Collar Short Sleeve Blouse, which work really well together.

This cardigan has a really pretty yarn combo in oranges and berries. It is knitted in an open weave and the body is semi loose and easy to wear. The sleeves are long, and they get a little fuller towards the bottom where it is finished with a nice ribbing around the edges.

The blouse is a really beautiful shade of orange, which I am calling papaya. It is made out of a soft silky fabric. The body is loose and easy to wear, and I have left it un-tucked today as I think it looks great this way with the cardigan.

For jewelry I added our Gold Chain with Matte and Shinny Gold Pendant and a brand-new earring. Our Matte Gold Double Layer Earrings with Small Beads is a pretty piece that can work with many other outfits.
