A Second Look At Our Lemon Drop Jacket

I have always loved yellow as a color especially for spring/summer. It exudes happiness and optimism, maybe because it is the color of the sun. It makes us think of spring and flowers blooming, warmer weather and bright, sunny days.

I am so excited that this spring yellow is one of the trending colors, with “buttercup yellow” being listed as one of Pantone’s top 10 Spring 2016 colors. Also if you watched the Oscars on Sunday night, you will have seen Alicia Vikander, who won the Oscar for best supporting actress wearing a beautiful yellow gown by Louis Vuitton. That is why I wanted to show you another way to wear our popular Lemon Drop jacket which I debuted for the first time here. This beautiful jacket with a cascading collar is made out of a soft and sanded rayon fabric in a pale yellow. The color is actually a paler version of Pantone’s “buttercup yellow”. The last time I showed you how you can wear this jacket, was for the office and it had more of a serious look.

This time I wanted to do a more fun and casual look, so I styled it with my wide leg denim jeans, which are very trendy right now, an ivory top and one of our brand new necklaces that I love so much. This necklace is a combination of gold and silver tone metal which makes it a perfect necklace since you can pair it with either gold or silver. My everyday watch is a gold and silver combo and I always love mixing the two metal colors together.
