A Transitional Look With Our Classic Ivory Blazer
I believe all of us should own a few good classic blazers. It would be even better if they are in neutral colors as well so they never go out of style, and you can wear them for any season. Of course, the first color that comes to mind is black. However, a nice ivory or cream is just as important.
I first introduced our ivory two button classic blazer at the beginning of spring. So today I wanted to show you a transitional look going into fall with the same blazer. This blazer is made from a soft ivory fabric with a little bit of stretch. The body is semi shaped and easy but not over-sized. It has all the characteristics of a blazer like a notch collar and lapel, two buttons in the front, functional welt pockets with flaps. It is fully lined in a matching ivory lining.
For a transitional look I chose to wear the blazer with our bronze shirt with roll up sleeves. The color of this shirt is very similar to Pantone’s 2023 fall trend color, called “Burnt Sienna”. I think it is a lovely color for fall. You can see all of Pantone’s fall trend colors HERE
This shirt is made from a nice soft textured medium weight fabric, so it is not sheer or too thin. The body is semi loose and easy with a collar and small buttons in the front. It has long sleeves with cuffs but it also has a tab so you can roll up the sleeves for a three-quarter length look.
For my neck scarf I have a new piece that works well the color of the shirt. It is our ivory rust tan leopard print silky neck scarf. The color combo of this neck scarf is also perfect for start of fall.
