Black With A Pop Of Color

Black is a chic neutral color that you can wear year-round. It all depends on how you wear it and what other pieces you combine with it. One fun way to wear black during summer and in transitioning into fall is to combine it with bright fun colors.

That is what my look is based on today. I have restyled our best-selling black lightweight open front cardigan vest, this time with a colorful top. I first debuted this vest HERE. A little bit about the vest:

We have them in Black, Navy and Taupe and ever since I debuted them, we have had to re-stock them repeatedly. I am happy that we have just restocked all the colors in all the sizes again. If you missed out on getting them before, please do so now before they sell out again.

It is knitted in a nice soft black yarn and has ribbed detailing in the front and around the arms. It has two front pockets that are also finished with a ribbing detail. The front is open with no closure and the bottom of the sides have two slits. If you want to cover the “vest trend” but you are hesitating on some of the woven ones, this is a great alternative as it is casual and easy to wear.

In order to bring in some color, I have styled it today with our magenta V neck drop shoulder loose top. I first styled this top for you HERE. I love this shade of magenta; it is very pretty. The fabric is a soft rayon with a little bit of spandex. The body is loose/slightly oversized. It has drop shoulders with short sleeves, so the sleeves almost look elbow length. It is a great top because you can wear it now and take it into early part of fall to wear as a layering piece.

To continue with adding some bright colors to this look, I have added our blue coral white abstract print scarf. This pretty, colorful scarf can make any neutral outfit pop. We only have a few pieces left in this scarf.

I have finished off the the look with our black and natural bead necklace with crystal and tassel. This necklace is naturally long so you can either wear it long especially if you are leaving the top out, or you can double it up like I have done for today’s look. Since I have the top tucked in, the necklace looks better doubled up.
