Happy Fourth Of July Weekend
Happy Fourth of July weekend everyone! I hope you will be enjoying this long weekend with friends and family, whether you are traveling out of town or having a low key relaxing long holiday weekend at home.
We will be celebrating with family here in Los Angeles with a barbecue, swimming and hopefully some fireworks over at the Rose Bowl later in the evening.
With orange being the hottest color of this spring and summer, I couldn’t help but include an easy jersey t-shirt/top in this color to our collection. I showed the same top to you all last week in a magenta color. You can see that color HERE.
This one is the same top but in orange. The fabric is a wonderful soft rayon with a little bit of spandex. The body is loose/slightly oversized. It has drop shoulders with short sleeves, so the sleeves almost look elbow length.
I have paired it today with our ivory lightweight open front short cardigan vest. I first styled this cardigan vest for you HERE. It is knitted in a nice soft ivory yarn and has ribbed detailing in the front and around the arms. It has two front pockets that are also finished with a ribbing detail. The front is open with no closure. If you want to cover the “vest trend” but you are hesitating on some of the woven ones, this is a great alternative as it is casual and easy to wear.
To make the outfit more interesting I have added our fun orange ivory blue silky floral butterfly print neck scarf. I know most people think neck scarves are not good for summer because you don’t want anything tight around your neck.
I agree so I have shown you two different ways you can wear this neck scarf around your neck but in a loose way. One is with the triangle in the front and tied in the back and the second way is the opposite, with the triangle in the back and tied in the front. There is also a third fun way to use it and that is around your bag’s handle which I have also shown below. I have finished off my look with our matte gold metal ring and charm earrings.
