How Both Ponchos And Poncho Cardigans Offer Chic Versatility

The main difference between a poncho and a poncho cardigan lies in the shape and the fact that one has sleeves and the other one doesn’t. The other difference is that poncho cardigans are normally open in the front like cardigans. Regular ponchos can be open in the front, or they can be a pull on.

Today I am showing you a poncho cardigan and a poncho so you can see the difference and how you can wear them. The first look is with our chestnut cable knit oversized poncho cardigan. I personally love the color of this piece as it is one of my favorite fall colors. It is knitted in a soft yarn with a cable pattern in the front and back. It has a fold back ribbed collar, ribbed cuffs and is finished off in the bottom with ribbing as well.

In keeping with the “Rust” color, the second piece is our rust black cream leopard knit ruana poncho with loop. It is knitted in a super soft knit with a  leopard  pattern and the color combo is rust/black/cream. You wear it over your shoulders like a poncho and it is open in the front.

You can also wrap it over your shoulder and the best part with this one is that there is a loop on one side at the shoulder area. This loop helps with keeping it in place when you throw it over your shoulder. All you must do is pull the one end through the loop and it stays in place.
