Plaids Leopard And Feathers
Mixing patterns, if done the right way, can make any outfit more interesting and stylish. So today I am showing you a look where I have mixed a few patterns together that work well without making the outfit too busy.
I wanted to re-style this blazer because it works just as well for spring because the fabric is not heavy.
As I have mentioned before and you may have seen in stores, double breasted blazers are definitely trending. I like this one because the glen plaid fabric is such a classic and it never goes out of style. The body is semi shaped, and it is fully lined. You can wear it to work or any fun day or night out with jeans like I have done for today’s look.
As you know I have always liked wearing blazers with graphic t-shirts or tops. So for today’s look, I styled the blazer with our new Heather Gray Multi Color Feather Print Graphic Top. This top is a sister to the Heather Tan one which I styled for you last weekend.
The body is loose and the fabric is a wonderful soft rayon jersey that we use on a lot of our tops. The multi-color feather print is very pretty and there are small silver studs randomly scattered on top of the feathers that give an additional texture to it. In the photos below I have shown you the top both tucked in and left out so you can see the length and the shape better.
To make the outfit more interesting, I added one of our new scarves, our Ivory Blue Black Leopard Print Scarf. I think the mix of the glen plaid jacket and the leopard scarf look great. Both patterns are not too busy and they have the same colors so they work really well together. The scarf is made out of a soft gauze fabric which is perfect for taking it into spring.
To finish off the look I added our Matte Silver Leaf Earrings which work nicely with the feather themed top. I wore all these pieces with my skinny distressed jeans, black mules and my blue Prada bag.
