Introducing Our Blaire Houndstooth Blazer Styled For Fall

I am super excited today to debut our brand new Blaire Houdstooth blazer that I personally love. As you know one of the main reasons I started Jacket Society was because of my love for jackets and to be more specific, blazers. Blazers are the type of jacket I personally wear the most. I love wearing them with jeans, all kinds of pants, skirts and even dresses. So I know I will be wearing the Blaire Houdstooth blazer an awful lot this fall.

The blazer is designed and made by me here in Los Angeles from a beautiful Italian made houdstooth fabric in black/red/ivory color combo, making it a classic piece that will never go out of style. I added gold metal buttons, a black fabric contrast under collar, and my one of favorite stripe linings to make it more current and modern. My main styling tip for this blazer would be to wear it with the sleeves turned back to show the lining or roll them up. I also love wearing the collar up to show the black under collar. You can see how I have styled it in the photos below.

One of my favorite colors from Pantone’s fall 2016 color report is “Aurora Red”. I wrote about all the Pantone’s trending colors for this fall back in August and you can see that blog story here. I really wanted to do an item in this color, so I decided to do a blouse. Not only does this blouse cover a hot and trendy color for fall, but it works perfectly layered under our Blaire houdstooth blazer. I chose to call the blouse the “Aurora red tie blouse” in honor of its color. It is made out of a soft rayon fabric and the body is semi shaped but fairly loose with an inverted pleat in the back. It has small buttons all the way in the front, cuffs with buttons on the sleeves, a tie in the front that you can wear many different ways. Make sure to look at the few different ways you can tie it in our product photos.

Since this color story of black, red and ivory is such a classic and beautiful fall color story, I decided to throw in a beautiful fall tartan plaid wrap/shawl as well. This wrap is a beautiful plaid in those three colors plus grays as well and it is super versatile to wear with many other pieces for fall. It is really soft and cozy and it has self fringe at each edge. As you can see in the photos below, it looks fabulous with the Aurora red tie blouse and the Blaire houndstooth blazer both.

To finish off the look, I added one of our brand new necklaces that works really well with all these pieces. As for the rest of my outfit, I wore the blazer and the blouse with my faux leather skinny pants from Zara, black covered sandals, and my black Gucci bag.
