Wearing A Shirt As A Jacket For Spring And Summer
Shirts make a great lightweight jacket for spring and summer. This is the reason why shackets have become so popular. Shackets are basically shirts that can be worn as jackets. But in my opinion any shirt can be worn as a jacket if you leave the buttons open and wear a layering piece underneath.
Today I have a new shirt and I have styled it both as a shacket and shirt for you. The new shirt is our lilac textured cotton oversized shirt. This shirt is made of a soft textured 100% cotton fabric making it easy and breathable to wear for spring and summer. The color is a pretty shade of lilac which is a combination of pink and purple. The body is oversized and loose making it easy to wear as a shacket. It has all the other characteristics of a shirt, like a collar, long sleeves with cuffs and a chest pocket.
For the first look I am wearing it over our white v neck short sleeve top with pocket. I first showed you this top HERE. It is made in a soft rayon spandex fabric. The silhouette is like a short sleeve T-shirt with one chest pocket. We have this same top in a purple color as well, and you can see that piece HERE.
As a second look, I am showing you the rose pink shirt on its own worn as a true shirt. For this look I chose to tuck in the front to show some shape.
As far as accessories I have added our blue coral pink mosaic multi pattern print scarf which works really nicely with the rose pink shirt. And for jewelry I have two new pieces both with gold, gunmetal and white color combo. They are not a set but they work well together and compliment the outfit as well.
