Red White And Blue For Memorial Day Weekend
I want to wish everyone a safe Memorial Day Weekend. I hope you all have a wonderful long weekend whether you are traveling or spending it at home and relaxing. We are staying in town and have a few fun adventures planned plus I am looking forward to some relaxation.
And let’s not forget to take a moment and remember all the brave men and women who have served our country to make it a great place for us to live.
Since it is Memorial Day Weekend, I thought it would be only natural to do a red, white, and blue look. Well, it is mainly blue and white with a touch of red.
For the first look I have a new Blue and White Multi Stripe Shirt which is a men’s wear inspired cotton stripe shirt but with a twist. The stripes are a mix of two different types of stripes, big and small. The body is loose and a bit oversized with all the characteristics of a shirt with long sleeves and cuffs, collar, and small buttons in the front and one pocket on the chest.
I have shown you three different ways you can wear this shirt.
- As a light weight shacket with a tank top underneath
- Buttoned up and left out
- Buttoned up and tucked in
The tank top I am wearing under the shirt for the first look is also a new addition to our shop. It is made of a soft bamboo yarn. It is made of bamboo and a little bit of spandex. Bamboo is very similar in hand to rayon modal, so it is super soft. It is also an eco-friendly fabric, and is very breathable, so it keeps you cool during hot summer days. The body is loose with the back being a bit longer than the front.
Finally, I have another new top, our Dusty Blue Boxy V Neck Knit Top. The top is made of a soft fine gauge knit yarn in a dusty blue color. The body is boxy with the back longer than the front with side slits. It has dolman style sleeves and the bottom of the sleeves, and the neckline is finished with a raw edge detail.
