A Botanical Print Kimono With A Pop Of Yellow
Summer vacation season is upon us and as we start planning our holidays, we should also look at getting the fun, appropriate wardrobe pieces that work so well on these trips.
One of those important items are kimonos. Spring and summer kimonos can easily work as cover ups over bathing suits as well. So today I have a beautiful, new kimono to share with you all.
This kimono is printed on a silky feel fabric that is very soft. The multi color print is a botanical floral print in beautiful colors printed on tops of an ivory base. The body is a traditional kimono loose body with two armholes and the bottom part of the sides are open.
As I mentioned above you can wear this piece over bathing suits, shorts and even dresses. But for today’s look I have paired it with one of our bright color jersey tops and my own jeans.
I love that you can wear this kimono with practically any color, since it has so many pretty colors in the print. One of those colors is a yellow so I chose to wear it with our mustard round neck elbow length sleeve top.
This top is made from a soft rayon jersey knit. The body is loose and a bit oversized. It has elbow length sleeves, which is a new take on the three-quarter length sleeves. What I like about these sleeves is that you can fold them up a few times and make them shorter for hotter days.
