How To Transition Into Fall With Spring Colors And Items
It’s safe to say that all of us have started transitioning into fall in one way or another. Last week we had a terrible heat wave in Los Angeles. I think it was the hottest weather we have had in Los Angeles this summer and of course it was in September….We finally got relief from the heat over the last couple of days and I hope it stays this way. I’m personally so ready for fall and fall clothes, especially fall jackets for women.
This past weekend when we went out for dinner, I wanted to wear a transitional look into fall, even though it is still essentially summer here in Los Angeles. Sometimes you can wear your transitional clothes in this city well into fall since it doesn’t get cold until a lot later on. Saturday night I decided to wear some of my spring pieces, but style them in a way to end up with a transitional look into fall. I have put together a few of my thoughts and ideas to share with you a few key tips how to do this.
- Do you want to wear one of your spring jackets for women? Wear a bright color jacket that is typically a spring summer color. I am wearing my coral Zara blazer here which is more of a spring/summer color but the way I have styled it with my jeans and printed scarf, brown shoes and accessories, it can easily be taken into early fall.
- Try open toe booties or sandals that cover more than a typical sandal but can be worn without tights or hosiery. I am wearing my brown gladiator sandals that I bought beginning of summer but because of the color and the amount of coverage I can easily take it into early fall.
- Wear a bright color or pattern scarf as an accent. You can wear a scarf with any summery look and it will take it into an early fall look. I am wearing my bright animal print and floral mix scarf and I love it with my tank top when I take off my jacket.
I hope these are some useful pointers that you can use and expand on, I am sure there are more but these were the ones that applied to my outfit from last weekend.
