How To Wear A Shirt As A Jacket For Spring
Couple of years ago a new item was introduced in the fashion industry called “shacket”. I have talked about it before on my blog posts and style features as well. It is a term used for a combo of shirts and jackets, hence shackets. It basically means shirts that can be used as jackets or jackets that look like shirts.
For today’s style feature I have taken one of our new shirts and styled it as a shacket over one of our best-selling tops. I have both items styled on their own and different ways you can wear them.
The first look shows the shirt styled as a shacket over the top. I will start with the shirt, which is our green white stripe shirt with white collar and cuffs, which I first debuted for you HERE.
The fabric is soft yet crisp with the background being white, then printed on tops with a variegated stripe design in green. It has a contrasting white collar and cuffs. The body is loose, long and a bit oversized. Please see store photos for exact shape. I have shown you how it looks open as shacket, all buttoned up as a shirt, and tucked in. We have the same shirt in a lavender/white combo and you can see that piece HERE.
The top I am wearing is our Kelly green round neck elbow length sleeve top which is one of our best-sellers that we keep re-stocking. It is made from a soft rayon jersey knit. The body is semi loose but not oversized. It has elbow length sleeves, which is a new take on the three-quarter length sleeves.
For jewelry I am wearing a matching set that we sell separately. Our gold chain necklace with multi tear drop pendant and gold hammered metal double tear drop earrings go perfectly together.
The four pieces I am showing you today are part of our Weekend Flash Sale where you can get 15% off with:
